The 48" Mudroom Entryway Bench with Door is built for the person who wants a beautifully organized entryway without sacrificing a single inch of storage. Same 100-year-old Pennsylvania barn wood as every piece we make. Same handcrafted construction, one craftsman, start to finish. But with one important addition — a solid wood flanking door on the left that keeps the things you need close at hand and the things you don’t want to see completely out of sight.
This is the bench for the smaller mudroom that still means business. The ski chalet entry that needs to hold more than it looks like it can. The beach house foyer where everything comes in sandy and needs a home. Four feet wide, beautifully proportioned, and more capable than any piece twice its price from a mass-market retailer.

3 top cubbies — open and ready
Three open cubbies across the top of the bench keep the essentials visible and within reach — hats, bags, helmets, the things that come and go every day. Everything you want to see on the way out the door.
4 wrought iron triple hooks — 12 places to hang
Four antique wrought iron hooks, each with three prongs, are mounted across the beadboard back — 12 individual hanging spots for coats, scarves, backpacks, dog leashes, and the daily layers a family carries in and out. For a 48" bench, 12 prongs is generous.
One flanking cabinet door — hidden storage on the left
On the left side of the bench, a tall solid wood reverse-panel door runs from the top of the piece down to the bench surface. Behind it sit four shelves — for hats and gloves, sunglasses and sunscreen, goggles and spare keys, the accumulation of items that live at the door because life requires them on the way out.
Close the door. The entryway is calm. Everything you need is behind it.
4 double cubbies below the bench — shoes and boots, off the floor
Four double-depth cubbies beneath the bench seat keep shoes, boots, and sandals organized and off the floor. Each pair in its own place, easy to find, easy to reach when you are sitting on the bench putting them on.
Every bench we make begins with reclaimed wood salvaged from Pennsylvania farm buildings — barns and outbuildings that stood for a century or more before being carefully taken apart. This is not engineered wood dressed up with a reclaimed finish. It is the genuine article, with a hundred years of history in every plank.
The nail holes, the grain, the natural variation in color — these are not flaws. They are what you are paying for.

Delivery
White glove inside delivery — included
Shipping is $300 and includes white glove inside delivery by appointment. A two-person delivery team brings the bench inside your home and places it exactly where you want it. You will not be asked to carry, assemble, or manage anything at the curb. Delivery is scheduled at a time window that works for you.
